Flori Muresan, PE (NY)
Flori is a Founding Principal of MWB Engineering, and has 20+ years of technical engineering experience. Flori believes in producing accurate and detailed MEP designs, that allow for Owners and Construction Teams to build a comfortable and functioning environment. Flori has designed projects in all market sectors, and is the trusted advisor of many commercial property managers and building owners.

Jahnavi Sajip, PE (NY)
Jahnavi is a quality-driven, Principal of MWB Engineering. She has established her career in the affordable housing market, with over 2,000,000 ft2 of successfully designed properties. Because of this experience, Jahnavi also has had extensive communication with HPD and the associated EGC requirements. Jahnavi also advises many Owners in the healthcare, residential, and hospitality industry to design Article 28 facilities, hotels, and restaurants.

Chelseyann Bipat, PE (NY, PA, OH, TX, NJ, KY), CEM, CBCP, GBE
Chelseyann is a Founding Principal who aims to view spaces with a thoughtful eye (whether it be a new construction project or a renovation project) and with a strong focus on energy conservation as well as the overall health of all occupants. Because of her focus on energy conservation, Chelseyann is a resource for LEED Consulting projects, LEED Commissioning projects, energy modeling, Local Law 84 ,87, 97 Compliance, and Mechanical Commissioning.
Our Services
MEP/FP Engineering
Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Sprinkler, and Fire Alarm Engineering Design for new construction and renovation projects throughout the country. Our Principals are licensed in multiple states, and are able to work with architects and building owners to produce successful construction projects.
Sustainability Services
Our Team is skilled in Passive House Design, Enterprise Green Communities Design, LEED Design, and NYC Local Laws. Our Team also holds certifications in Certified Energy Manager, Certified Building Commissioning Professional, and Green Building Engineer from the Association of Energy Engineers.
Commissioning and Property Assessment Reporting
ASHRAE Standard Commissioning & Retro-Commissioning services for new construction and renovation projects to meet NYC Energy Conservation Code requirements. Property Assessment Reports for property managers and owners to assess the functionality and energy efficiency of the building systems.
Building CADD and BIM Modeling
Our designs aim for full coordination with MEP/FP trades as well as all other project consultants. Three-dimensional drawings are produced in Revit, when all project consultants work in Revit. Two dimensional basic-level coordination in AutoCAD.
Listen to The MWB Podcast: Made With Brilliance

“Made With Brilliance” by MWB Engineering explores architecture and building through insightful conversations with industry experts. Hosted by Chelseyann Bipat and Jahnavi Sajip, the podcast covers trends, best practices, and key industry insights, offering practical advice and innovative ideas to help professionals build with brilliance.
In this solo episode of Made With Brilliance, Chelseyann Bipat breaks down one of the most common misconceptions in building performance: if a space is uncomfortable, the thermostat must be the problem. In reality, comfort is far more complex than a temperature reading. Chelsey walks through how airflow, pressurization, humidity control, system balancing, equipment placement, and controls all work together to determine whether a building actually feels comfortable. From drafty apartments and slamming doors to lingering odors and condensation on diffusers, this episode explains why HVAC systems must be designed holistically โ and why quick fixes often create bigger problems. If youโve ever wondered why replacing equipment didnโt solve your comfort issues, this conversation reveals whatโs really happening behind the walls.
Key Takeaways:
Comfort is not just temperature: Airflow, humidity, pressure, and stability all shape how a space feels
Pressurization affects everything: Poorly balanced buildings can cause drafts, odors, and door pressure issues
Air distribution matters as much as capacity: Having the right equipment size doesnโt guarantee proper comfort
Humidity is becoming a growing challenge: Modern tight buildings and rising summer humidity require smarter dehumidification strategies
Third-party thermostats can limit system performance: Not all smart controls allow full functionality like manufacturer systems
Systems must work together: Heating, cooling, exhaust, and makeup air must be coordinated to prevent conflicts
Code minimum isnโt always comfort maximum: Engineering judgment plays a critical role beyond compliance
Comfort complaints are often system-wide issues: Replacing equipment rarely fixes underlying airflow or balancing problems
Building controls impact usability: Poor sequencing or rushed commissioning can create long-term discomfort
Holistic design prevents long-term problems: True building performance requires integrated thinking from the start
